making the pull ups finds even sweeter!!

it totally slipped my mind that I can send in for the Caregivers Marketplace rebate for Huggies Pull Ups, at $0.75/ pack!! I bought7 pack (5 came out to be $0.89ea and 2 came out to $0.19ea) making the total OOP for the pullups to be $4.83, submitting for $0.75 per pack is $5.25, so this will be a money maker of $0.42!! SWEEEEET!!!!!

Organizing here and there

I had a couple different things I worked on and wanted to post them together, plus I am participating in Organizing Junkie's monthly round-up ~ Vehicles (bottom of this post)
first I started out with my spice and such cabinet. I had to toss alot of thing to get everything to fit properly, but it was stuff that hadn't been used in a long while. Notice everything on the counter, that had to go in there as well. second, I have been putting off the top of the fridge for awhile, why, I dunno, I guess because its not directly in my sight I would just forget about it. I tossed alot of candy wrappers, the pretty much empty boxes of Valentines clearance candy, papers from around the sides, and wrapping from the packages of water that had some waters that were gone.

Organizing Blog
and finally Org Junkie's monthly organizing round-up ~ Vehicles . I didn't end up doing, much but the little bit I did do has helped in a HUGE way.
I am always ending up with trash around the van and the girls help contribute, I watched a car organizing short video and it suggested hooking a grocery bag on the arm rests between the 2 chairs, so I did, and I am so glad I did. The girls even like it and are using it regularly which is a huge help, since the van is so big, keeping it clean can be hard when trash is all over the place.

I also added I basket in between the girls seats for their random items, like toys, books, headphones etc, and with the handles I can use it to periodically bring in all of the toys when it gets too full, or the girls can use the handles to pull the basket up to get to the bottom of it.

more pull ups at Wags

I ran across 2 more packs at another Wags, there they were priced $3.19ea, but I had just gotten 2, $3 IPs so they came out to $0.19ea!!! + tax = $0.41OOP for 2 packs!!!

Angle soft 12pk TP $5.99

Randalls

So I felt like heading to Randalls for some pop tarts, cereal and gum. :)
Extra gum 5 @ $1.39 5 @ $0 (BOGO sale) used 5 BOGO Qs = $Free
Pop secret 4 @$0.99 used 2 $1/2 = $1.96
Poptarts various flavors 8ct, 20 @ $1.99 used 10 $1/2 Qs = $29.80
Frosted flakes 4 @ $2.99 used 4 $1 Qs = $7.96
Apple Jacks 4 @ $2.49 Fruit Loops 2 @ $2.49 used 6 $1 Qs = $8.94
total $48.66
(ok I am looking back at my receipt, and notice the pop secret has 2 neg $2.20s. I had to take off 2, and ring separately even though on here I am putting it together, because the Q says one per transaction, no biggie, but that is where it seems the "mess up" is because my total is off by $4.40, but it works out better for me)
at trans end savings, Kelloggs buy 5, save $5 x6= -$30.00
- $4.40 (from "mess up") and -$0.08 tax = $14.18 OOP for 20 boxes pop tarts, 10 boxes of cereal, 4 packs of pop corn and 10 packs of gum = $0.32 / item
and I was able to find 5 boxes with the free movie ticket when you send in 5 box tokens, so 1 free movie ticket!

Coming back... slowly

So I had a bunch of CVS ECBs that were expired by a couple of days and our store only accepts up to 1 weeks expired, so I wanted to make sure I didn't lose $24 in ECBs (between 3 cards), just by being lazy. I didnt find much I wanted, there wasn't a goody basket of clearance items like I had hoped, but I found some things to spend them on, and also came across some Free after ECBs SoyJoy bars, which meant I could have a money maker on those, instead of blowing a losing all the ECBs, I would get more EBCs in return! finding Free after ECBs items in the store after the sunday sale start day is rare, so this had me kinda excited even though I am not fond of the way they taste. DH claims he likes them, but I guess I hadnt gotten them in awhile, so I don't remember, so well see if he ends up eating them.
split up 3 transactions
T1
SoyJoy 14 @ $1 each, used 7 BOGOqs - $7 = $7
used CVS ECB -$6 paid $1 on RX gift card, got back $12 ECB ( I see now I shoulda bought 2 more DUH!!) I coulda got $16 back for spending only $1 more!
T2
Sally Hanse nail polish sale $1.39ea = $2.78
CVS TP 2@ $5ea = $10
used CRT $2/ $10 CVS purchase and $10 in ECB = $0.84 on RX gift card
T3
soy joy 8 @ $1 = $8
$0.99 cotton candy
used $8 in ECB $1.00 on RX gift card! $0 OOP!!

Shrimp Alfredo!! yummy!

I tried this simple 5 ingredient recipe tonight for shrimp alfredo and it was a HUGE hit. Paul says we have to have this as a "regular" menu item, and I had to bring him more to his work tonight it was so yummy.

I didn't take any pics, It didn't sound that interesting, but me being the kinda gal that has only bought canned alfredo sauce I was hesitant that this would taste any good. I got it out of "The Everything Quick and Easy 30-Minute, 5-Ingredient Cookbook"

Shrimp Fettuccine ( I used Linguine)

1 16 oz pk of fettucine ( or whatever pasta)

3 Tblsp Olive oil

1 onion finely chopped (I used minced onion from seasoning cabinet about 1-2 tblsp)

1 pound raw med shrimp ( I am guessing you could use chicken too)

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp lemon pepper ( I used regular pepper)

1 1/2 Cups Heavy Cream

1 cup grated parm cheese

Cook fettuccine or pasta according to package.

meanwhile heat olive oil in large saucepan, and add onion. Cook and stir for 4-5min until tender. Sprinkle shrimp with salt and pepperand add to saucepan; cook over med heat for 4-5 min, until shrimp curl and turn pink. Add cream and heat for 2 min.

When pasta is cooked al dente, drain well and stir into shrimp mixture, tissing gently to combine. Cook over med heat for 3-4 min until sauce is slightly thickened. Add cheese and stir gentlt to coat. Serve immediately.

Surface / Shelf Organizing - org junkie

I am participating in OrgJunkie.com's

Organizing Blog

Surface / Shelf Organizing. I picked my Baker's Rack.

Here is a Before Pic.. This has been one of my "catch all" areas.During Pic... took everything off sprayed down and wiped the whole thing down with pledge all surface cleaner from THIS Randalls blog post. I even Sprayed the floor and baseboard with Clorox cleanup with bleach, since it is a hard area to clean with a mop or swiffer wet. The floor and baseboards turned out VERY white and clean!

And After Pic... Very minimal and clean open feeling

any suggestions comments??
